Destruction
"Chicks dig body damage!"

No matter how hard you try to be careful, no matter how much armor you install, no matter how much experience you have... there is always that chance that you may have 'mechanical issues'. Some folks 'test' the limits, I seem to 'whack 'em with a sledge'!. Here are a few things that have happened since I started...

This is how you show off the newest suspension mods... or at least what happens when you try to do a donut with swampers and they catch. I wouldn't suggest it.

And then when you want to drop it on the drivers side...

The Lock-Right can be destroyed if you hit them too hard. Each disk started as a single unit. The manufacturer couldn't believe it either...

While the 'Tom Woods' driveshaft took a beating is relatively unhurt, the rear pinion yoke blew apart when the going got too tough. It has been replaced and hasn't given me any troubles since. It was probably a hairline crack that happened during the initial product review, but it took awhile until it finally gave out.

The first reported break in an ARB Air Locker (for a Samurai) in the US... no, I'm not kidding. The plastic 'piston' snapped off a few pieces making the unit stay 'locked'.

Both of these birfields blew their guts all over the place. The one on the left is a stock unit that cracked like an egg going through 'A Rock and A Hard Place' in Broad Canyon in Las Cruces. The unit on the right died the same way, and yes - that is what is left of a birfield cup installed on it. I have found that the cup only 'contained' the shrapnel.

Transfer case gears aren't immune to destruction... check out the missing teeth by clicking through the photo.
And the most common transfer case destruction is when the front output housing fails...

This one got a little help from the front driveshaft as it was slammed into the front of the case. The output shaft snapped off, and the front housing cracked open.
